of Czechoslovakia fell to the soldiers of the American Third Army, led by
General George S. Patton, Jr. The following article is a day-by-day account
of that momentous two-week period, which is clearly etched in the memories

Embassy, sending photographs and sharing their recollections of those
days in great detail. The Embassy thanks them for their generous assistance
and valuable information. This account, however, has been compiled from
