Bemerkung
The work deals with anti-partisan operations completed by
members of Nazi security machinery on Moravia territory in 1944
- 1945 years. The partisan way of fight represented a specific
way of resistance on territories occupied by Nazi Germany in
the course of the Second World War and evolved in many countries.
The fight reached the heyday in Yugoslavia, Poland and in the
occupied parts of the Soviet Union, but it developed in other
countries, including Bohemia and Moravia, which having been
annexed by Nazi Germany in March 1939, formed so-called
Protectorate. The work is attempting to interpret the
activities of single partisan groups on Moravia and the
interventions of the Nazi security forces against them.
Although the main phases of the activities of partisan groups
on the Czech territory coincided to the final period of the
Nazi occupation in 1944 - 1945 years, the first troops of
partisan character appeared on Moravia territory even in 1942.
The gradual increase of resistance activities especially in the
highland areas of the East Moravia forced the Nazi security
machinery to form special troops with the only mission to fight
against partisans. In winter months of 1944 - 1945 the Nazis
realized the extensive offensive in all areas of partisan
activities. However the Nazis were not successful in reaching
of the main subject - total liquidation of partisan forces on
the Protecotrate territory. The most important sources of
information concerning these problems come out from the archive
fund of the Moravian Provincial Archive and the collections of
the Moravian Provincial Museum in Brno and further the National
Archive and the Military Central Archive in Prague. The number
of period reports from provenance of Nazi security troops,
participating in interventions against the partisan groups, is
found here. The post-war records of remembrances of partisan
groups, who lived after the war, are also very important. All
these materials are of great importance during evaluation of
the given problems."
