"This bachelor’s diploma thesis deals with an important trial with seven representatives of the parallel sporting organizations of the German National Socialist Labour Party, namely Volkssport, Jugendverband and Studentenbund, that took place from 8th August to 24th September 1932 before the Regional penal court in Brno. This trial is in particular known under the abbreviation "The Trial Volkssport". The thesis describes not only the progress of the trial itself, which is its crucial part, but also the immediate influence of the trial on the political and legal environment of the first Czechoslovak Republic. The next part of the thesis is the prologue of investigation, the clarification of the court’s delegation in Brno, even though the legal action concerned particularly Bohemia, and also the extraordinary media reaction that exceeded the borders of the then Czechoslovak Republic. In the end of the bachelor’s diploma thesis, there is a reflection essay on the way how to approach to such a trial from the point of view of the broader historical memory of the Czechoslovakian history."
